  1. Short: Shows you the size and version of files and directories.

  6.  The Workbench have become more and more powerfull since OS 2.04, but there
  7.  are still a few things you have to do from CLI.
  8.  
  9.  One of these things is finding out the bytesize of a file or drawer.
  10.  Another is finding out the versionnumber of a file.
  11.  
  12.  This is what AppInfo will do for you.
  13.  
  14.  When you start AppInfo, an appicon will popup on the Workbench window
  15.  (you can set position, image and title).
  16.  
  17.  If you drop only one file on the appicon, AppInfo will show you the path,
  18.  the size in bytes and blocks and the versionstring (if one was found).
  19.  
  20.  If you drop several files/drawers/disks on the appicon, AppInfo will show
  21.  you the total number of files, drawers, bytes and blocks.

  23.  No versionstring will be shown when more than one file is droped. I thought
  24.  this was better then having to OK all requesters if you drop many files.
  25.  
  26.  In case you for some reason want to quit, you can doubleclick on the appicon
  27.  This will open a requester showing some information about the program.
  28.  From here you may either choose Continue or Quit.

  30.  NOTE! Droping an icon that has no file will open the requester. This is not
  31.  a bug but a "sideeffect" of the Workbench message handling.

  33.  AppInfo can also take a path/filename at startup.
  34.  To do this from CLI you just add the paths/files you want to include.
  35.  From Workbench you first click on the AppInfo icon then click on the
  36.  paths/files you want, remember to hold down SHIFT while clicking on
  37.  the icons.

  39.  NOTE! When AppInfo is given a file/path at startup, no appicon will be
  40.  added.
